WHEN YOU DONATE TO THE ARCHDIOCESE OF SAN FRANCISCO, RESTORATATIVE JUSTICE MINISTRY, YOU’RE CREATEING RIPPLE EFFECTS IN PEOPLE’S LIVES AND, ULIMATELY, THE PEACE WE WANT TO SEE IN OUR COMMUNITIES.

REMEMBER THOSE IN JAILS AND PRISON
Through our compassionate in-person jail and prison visits and events, we offer incarcerated and isolated youth, and adult men and women the possibility to restore hope, faith and repentance.

SUPPORT FAMILIES AFFECTED BY CRIME
After a murder, and/or a mass shooting, the family unit undergoes permanent changes that are difficult for the surviving members to accept. As each member of the family struggles with their own pain and grief, we become present as a source of healing, emotional, spiritual, and financial support to comfort members in the family and the community.

CARE FOR FAMILY AND CHILDREN’S FUTURE
We aim to empower parents to understand their child’s behavior and the challenges a child may encounter in the world we live in today where violence is prevalent. Developing a strong parenting model helps to restore this balance. Not only does it seek to prevent ha m but to heal and rehabilitate relationships already under stress .. We put special emphasis on The Archdiocese of San Francisco – Restorative Justice Ministry Parenting Training vision to accompany the most vulnerable living within the margins and underserved among us. We offer special programs such as our own Christmas Angels event for children exposed to violence.

BUILDING RESTORATIVE COMMUNITIES
Our research shows that several dynamic risk factors – namely health, employment, housing, skill development, mentorship, and social networks – significantly affect the success of justice-involved individuals. Therefore, we aim to facilitate successful reentry platforms and reduce recidivism rates by offering special programs and events.
