Father Michael Brillantes passed away on March 1, 2023 at the age of 66 from cancer.
Father Brillantes was ordained to the priesthood on November 30, 1983 and served as parish priest in Bangued, Bucay, Lagangilang and Dolores parishes in Abra, Philippines. He was also the Director of the Abra community broadcasting corporation, DZPA AM/FM radio station and the Abra Today newspaper. Father was incardinated in San Francisco on March 30, 2010 and served within the Archdiocese since 2000.
Father Brillantes served in many parishes and positions throughout the Archdiocese: Saint Peter Parish (San Francisco), Chaplain at San Francisco General Hospital, Saint Anthony of Padua Parish (San Francisco), Saint Bruno Parish and Church of the Epiphany Parish.
