“This is my body”: Day four of the National Eucharistic Congress

The final day of the full National Eucharistic Congress was marked by a historic Eucharistic procession through the streets of Indianapolis that drew more than 51,000 people and an eventful evening session with Gloria Purvis, The Chosen star Jonathan Roumie, and Winona-Rochester Bishop Robert Barron.

Following the breakout sessions, Congress attendees left the Conference and Expo Centers to find their spot on the sidewalk in preparation for the Eucharistic procession. The procession included women religious, seminarians, priests, the U.S. bishops, apostolic nuncio Cardinal Pierre, and papal delegate Cardinal Tagle. Following the Monstrance, tens of thousands of laity joined the procession. Read more here.

The final night of the National Eucharistic Congress included music by Matt Maher. The speakers in Lucas Oil Stadium spoke on the importance of unity in the Church, devotion to the Eucharist, and the crucial role of the laity in the Church.
